Joy Industries – DMAC Foundation Community Outreach Project
This is a Joy Industries funded Project that provides free health screening on blood glucose, body mass index, blood pressure, hepatitis B, syphilis, RDT for malaria, blood grouping, typhoid fever, hemoglobin, breast cancer and a urinary pregnancy test to the local communities. January 2015, an expanded partnership for safe motherhood and child health was established with Joy Industries with the aim of promoting the health of women and children especially the most vulnerable. The partnership aims to strengthen maternal and child health efforts at the community, district, regional and national levels, focusing on the areas of advocacy or information sharing, health efforts at the community level and support for the vulnerable. About 100,000 persons have benefitted from this free health screening exercise.
